Blanchardstown Centre for Independent Living (BCIL) supports people with disabilities in the Dublin 15 area. It’s is a non-profit organisation run by people with disabilities. BCIL is currently looking for volunteers to befriend and assist people with disabilities in the Dublin 15 area. The volunteer will meet the person at their home and assist them to go wherever they need to go. Volunteer tasks may include accompanying the person to activities such as shopping, cinema, appointments etc. It requires a commitment of two to four hours per week. All volunteers will receive training, support and supervision throughout their time at BCIL. This position would suit a person who is friendly, patient, sociable and who can be flexible.
